I'm looking at a 1987 AC Schnitzer S7 right now and i was wondering if anybody knows of any good site to find information on this series. I haven't been able to find that much information on this particular model at all. THe asking price for it was $7500, but since the starter just blew on it, and they're desperate to sell it, they are now asking $4000. It has 250,000 kms on it, but i wasn't able to varify that, seeing as the starter has blow and none of the electrical system are working in it due to that. There are some minor/medium cosmetic blemishes with it (only major ones are the car was lowered and the wheels rubbed onto the fenders which rubbed a bit of paint off/ bent the fender slightly - the car has no been raised so that doesn't happen anymore). As for the interior...it could use some TLC, the front seat is torn in a few areas, and the door panels need a little bit of fixing. Also the back piece of the front seat is falling off (is this easy to fix????)
The engine is a 3.6 litre 6 cylinder. As for the starter, the owner has been quoted between $700-$900 CDN for the fix. Also since the starter isn't functioning would the affect the rest of the electrical system inside the car? (ie. i should be able to turn the key to postion 2 and fidle around with the electronic systems, right?) Also the central locking system isn't working , it works sometimes. THe loking system is to the point that the key won't unlock the door at times. Now this wouldn't be cause by the starter, right. I would need new lock actuators for all the doors.
