I have a 1995 740i with a bad engine, I think the engine may have sized but has a good transmission. I have a 4.4L that was given to me to put in and was told that it was a direct swap. Is this true, and if so can I get some info on what I'll have to do. I've done some searches on google but can't seem to find the right year for the info.
Maybe not everything for info but a push in the right direction would be nice. I believe the 4.4 is OBD2, and 4.0 is OBD1? So some things won't match up, but still make it run though?
