Location Transmitter not working

I activated the BMW Assist and when I pushed the button the BMW assist operator came on and told me the car was not transmitting it's location. She advised taking it to the BMW Service Center. Does anyone know what would cause this problem?

I don't know for sure if this integrates with the onboard GPS, but is your GPS working ok?

Yes GPS is working ok and I think you are right that the GPS is tied into the system. Voice activation works great but BMW can not see my location.

Took it to BMW Service Center today and they said they had to reset the system to get it to work. Car should now be transmitting the location and data.
