Hows the 735i?

Im really starting to get pissed at my 85 528e and am getting rid of it. But i am hooked on BMW's great automobiles. I think i want a 735i but am not sure yet. Could someone tell me the pros and cons of your 735i, and do you think i can get a decent one that doesnt need a lot of work for around $3K? Thank in advance for any responses.

I hope I know because I'm getiting ready to seal the deal on a 92 735il...

Been surfing evry Bimmer board I can find, decided on a 91-92 735 was best. We'll see : )

Well I now own a 92 735il. Good side is it has a service history out the gazoo with many new parts, decent gas mileage and everything works. Downside is the paint job needs help, the gas cap door fell off (needs hinge) and slight rust around quarter panel and said gas cap door.

The wife is already threatening to sell it as I work out of town and left it home so she could register it...
