alright, I have a 98 740iL. battery went dead in the cold weather. jumped it, went to go replace the battery and the trunk won't open. won't open via key, won't open via remote entry, won't open via the button above the hood release. the key lock is in the verticle position. any help would be awesome.
Does the key turn if not the barrel has seized spray it full of a releasing oil then be a bit brutal with the key and it should free off then open the boot. If not there is a charge/jump point under the bonnet black cover with a red cross fit the positive jump lead to this and the earth to any good bolt head etc and the central locking should work and the boot release button in the car.
