
I own a 94 740il and have a couple of issues.....
Check engine light will show, engine idle flutters, trans. program on screen and only one gear to drive in. The Stealer says $900.00 plus labor for trans. cntrl. module over the phone. But some posts tell me that is not necessarily true. Where is this module? How does it look? Any manual test procedure? Could dirty trans. fluid cause this. Is nikasil(sp) short block exchange still available if it was never completed on this car?
Does anyone have access to a layout of all relays, fuses, circuit breakers, etc.
Low beam headlights work for a while then stop for a longer while. I appreciate any and all help. We really love the car and it's performance, but we don't want to be held hostage to enjoy it.
