Heat problem

NO AIR COMING FROM VENTS FOR HEAT,DEFROSTER ETC.ALL SWITCHES AND GAUGES ARE WORKING FINE BUT NO AIR FLOW .MECHANIC DIAGNOSED PROBLEM AND TOLD ME IT WAS THE BLOWER MOTOR.DID NOT WANT TO TACKLE THE JOB SINCE IT WAS TO TIME CONSUMING.DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD,EXPERIENCED MECHANIC ON THE SOUTH SHORE OF LONG ISLAND WITH EXPERIENCE IN BMW BEFORE I GO TO THE DEALER AND GET RAPED? If you have the time and patience. Do it yourself. on a scale from 1-10 as far as difficulty. it's a 6. What makes it hard is the cramped space. Take some time. Do some research. Make sure it's the blower and not a resistor block (if your car even has a resistor block). Breath. Have confidence. And kick ass!

It will have the Resistor (Hedgehog), worth checking first

Milt, i piggyback Rivroshaun and Dabsy,
Change the blower resistor 1st trust me easier than you think also check the Aux water pump located near the brake booster... Now one more thing was your expansion tank bleed when you added coolant or do you know if it has been bleed?
