Engine start just spinning - BMW Forum

When starting the engine on the 850 for some reason the engine spins when turning over. It sounds like a dry spin like the car has jumped time. Replaced all fuel pumps and fuel filters. Dry rotted lines were replaced. Seems like not getting fuel. Seems electrical becuase when I unplug battery for about five minutes car seems to reset and turns over. WTF. Any help will be aprecieated.

Pull out your coil pack and spark plug and have a buddy try to start it and visually confirm spark. If their is spark, repeat with an injector.

Scan the OBD system for diagnostic trouble codes.

Lord Vader (I feel like a stormtrooper now) In the rear of the BMW 850 to the right of the trunk there is a silver box. Its a computerthat lies on the rear of the right wheel well. What is it and what does it do if u know.
