E38 98 engine vibration

Hi All

My 98 740i will vibrate (the engine) around 1500 rpm either on park or when moving the vibration will start around 1400 and will disappear around 1600 rpm, it is a mild vibration , when the car is Idling you can feel very very slight vibration, any Ideas, thanks.

Do you mean a sort of rocking motion ??

I have a 98 740il 180000 4.4 doing the same thing. Any suggestions? Also when I accelerate hard from a stop I get a loud noise like the drive line or output area of tranny is hitting under floor hump????

That sounds like bad transmission mounts.......

This sounds like bad engine mounts....
