E38 740i Diff Ratio?

My '89 750il diff. needs replacing. It's a 3.15 LSD. I can get a 3.15 LSD out of an E38 740i. Will it fit?

No, imfraid not, but yes it will fit but the power ratio will be wrong and you will kill it. you are talking V8 to V12

Thanks marti5, but if the ratio is the same it will not affect anything as long as the unit is capable of handling 450 Nm torque. What I would like to know is, did any of the E38 740i's come out with a limited slip 3.15 ratio diff.?
