Door locks won't lock

I have an 1988 e32 and my door locks won't lock with the key. If you try to lock the doors The driver side lock will pop up after one try and then will stay down, but it will not lock any of the other doors. If yo utry to lock it for mthe passenger side it does nothing same as the trunk. Have to manually lock all the doors. When yo uunlock with the key they all unlock like normal. Is the door lock controler bad or are teh locks out of sink? Can i put them back into sink? Thanks.

These cars as they age have issues with the door lock solenoid support bracket cracking and allowing the solenoid assembley to get out of alignment. I had to take the door panel off and weld the bracket to realign thnigs.
