Just in case anyone has the same problem as I had with the side bearings whining in the differential I found a alternative cure from ordering bearings from BMW or aftermarket places. Seems as though ALL the bearings in a BMW, spindle, differential, and rear wheel bearings etc. All have a cross reference to american made timken bearings. Mine were FAG bearings with the numbers KLM503349. the same bearings as well as any others are the same number except leave off the "K". I paid only $19 for each one compared to $48 from BMW dealer. While I was on the phone I also cross referenced the others on the car and the same thing applied...............HOORAY..... no waiting for 4 days to 2 weeks for replacements.
