the passenger airbag red warning light thing stays on in our 98' 740il.is says in the manual to take it to the stealer-lol- but i want to know what it stands for first!

it means that there is a fault in the airbag system. it can range anywhere from a faulty seatbelt to a bad seat sensor or even a faulty airbag or control module. its definitely worth spending few bucks to have it checked out.
