Conflict- V-1 and NAV

Installed a Valentine V-1 radar/laser detector in my 2002 X5. The V-1 must be reading the NAV/GPS signals as I am getting a "hit" on the rear arrow every 30 seconds or so. Had to pop out the NAV CD to stop the false signal.
Any ideas on how to run both together successfully???

see if moving the V1 helps

or devising some sheilding method to go between your NAV unit and V1.

Your map cd goes into the same slot as a music cd right? Do you get the same problem with music cd's. your GPS system should be a receive only setup (and you're inundated with signals from the GPS satellites all the time anyway) so if there is a conflict it could be from EMI from the cd motor or the electronics connected with it and not from a purposeful signal out of your nav system.


Otherwise maybe the FBI's got you bugged!
