ok guys. im lost on this one. the coldest night here in nj all year. temp is 25. i go outside and start my car. vanos and a tap knock sound while car is running. ses light came on right away. plugged in my mac obd2 reader and got codes p1519 , p0325 , p1175. i looked up all these codes and know what they mean. but does anyone know, or have had experience with the similar codes all at once. p1519= cam position actuator , p0325= knock sensor , p1175= fuel trim actuator. just tring to figure out what needs to be done or changed. my car always had the vanos noise. now its just a little louder. sound seems to be coming from the passenger side. thanks for your help / knowledge in advance
honestly, i dont know what is in there since i just bought the car. but i do know it is full synthetic. last oil change was done by a reputable local indy. he is a certified bmw tech. i know this by the sticker on the windsheild. but it isnt due for another 1900mi. should there be a different weight. and would this cause the car to run rich and knock? thank you.
Okay Misfires are ignitions coils thats are bad, if you chnage them out also change the plugs... As far as oil I would ask my person that chnaged the oil what weight was used, also double check the oil level.
