CD Changer stuck - BMW Forum

I have a 2006 750Li with the 6 disc changer in the dash. I loaded two cd's and now the door will not close or eject but will play the two cd's? When I push the eject button it attempts to eject (door moves slightly) but nothing happens. Thanks for any help on this issue.

I think the dealer has a special plastic tool to do this, you can try pushing the cassette in whilst pressing the button or try slipping a credit card under the cassette and pressing the button......there is the other way of taking the unit out and removing the cover and doing a manual release, but Ive only done this on an e38 so not sure on yours but they cant be that dissimilar...

I have a similar problem with the trunk-mounted CD changer in my 2000 740 iL. The cassette (with some of my favorite CDs in it) will not eject and the dash display says I have a CD ERROR. Can I manually eject it by pushing on some release? If not, how do I remove the trunk liner panels so I can remove the entire drive to work on it?
