The car is a 1987 BMW 735i E32.

The head gasket was replace 1500 km ago with the head fully reconditioned,including new radiator with thermo fans. Since then we have had three radiator flushes, the last one had 150ltrs flushed through, and after only a few km of driving the overflow bottle fills with more oil than coolant.

This does not make sense to us as with good compression and CO2 tests, and no water to oil contamination, it’s not the head. The car starts, runs fine, and does not overheat.

Does this engine have an oil cooler that could maybe causing this problem??

If oil gets into the coolant, the head gasket must be leaking. Any oil cooler would be closed to the oil circulation system (the cooler would be located in the lower part of the front air dam).

a1papa, If your engine was overheated at some stage your problem could be a cracked block or head. A crack from an oil passage to the water jacket will cause this problem. The oil pressure, being higher, will cross over into the water jacket. Difficult to locate but your problem may just be at the head gasket. Was the head torqued properly and then rechecked? Pull the head off again and check the gasket where the oil passes through to the head. I'll bet that's where your problem lies.
