Hi, I recently purchased the BMW X5 3.0diesel. Let me explain a few things...
I live in Australia so we only have 4 models available: 3.0petroleum, 3.0desiel, 4.4petroleum, 4.6 petroleum. The 3.0d's distributed in Australia generally have Aluminium running boards and PDC as standard.
I just spent 20minutes getting a US Price conversion on each model and lost it.....
Basically the 3.0 models are between $54,000 and $58,000 US and have minmal features (rain sensor, leather, 17inch, multifunction wheel)
Can I ask is that bad value (excluding considerations like shipping, import tax...)
compared to US/UK prices.
I have had a few problems with the general quality of fixtures, doors not locking, boot not auto locking properly and becomming stuck and:
I have had a big problem with a clunk in the steering, especially when reverse parking. Has anyone had any of these problems and are they a common occurense in the non-german built cars? <NOT bagging USA> problem not fixed and told there was none!
Please explain
ALSO, for the Australian market are the cars from Africa? can anyone provide details about which markets get which cars?
Thanks! |
