I'm about to take delivery of my first BMW, the X3 with 6 speed manual transmission. I've always had 5 speeds (Honda, Toyota). How is the 6 speed different? For example, when do you use the 5th gear vs. the 6th gear? Does the 6 speed make more of a difference in the lower gears, or the higher gears?
