bmw 730 2004 TROUBLE

for the last year iv been havin trouble with the cars gears every time i put it in ever drive or reverse it pops out an ses repeat gear selection if i hold it for about 20 seconds while i drive it stays in gear but as soon as i slow down i get the same thing cums up repeat gear selection can any 1 tell me what i need to do to fix this or even tell me whats goin on i allso have pdc faliure passanger and driver restarint system faliure this cars just not made for people on a budget

How many miles on the car? Has the tranny fluid been changed?

46000 and no i dnt think it has how do i change it and is it not a electrical fault

That doesn't seem like a lot of miles, but I suggest a fluid change soon. I think I'd go on with the electrical hunt.

do u think its worth bying a new gear selector its a bit wobley could this be the problam

I would take the car to BMW and get a software update for the gearbox.

rite sorted think its the gear sector been doin alot of fidlin an i cum to the conclusion that it is loose and obvously the switch inside is broke phoned bmw they say 90 pound now would this be a easy replacement or would i need special equipment

Hard to say,Its a DIY on an E38 but your taking E65 so I would say its very similar.
