| I purchased a bluetooth retro kit from Bimmernav.com. for my 1997 740il without nav. I can not get it to work! I have checked, re-checked and triple checked every possible connection. Still nothing!
All I get when pushing the R/T button on the steering wheel is a MID message that says "ACTIVATE PHONE"...that's it! (actually, after messing with it so much, I don't even get that anymore...yes, I checked the fuses)
Pushing the pairing button on the newly installed eject box does nothing. I stopped by my Sprint store and we tried to pair 2 different phones. (I won't buy a phone until I know the bluetooth will work!) Nothing happens.
Seems that I should get some kind of MID message that the bluetooth unit is waking up when I push the pairing button, then turn the ignition on, then release the pairing button. But nothing happens.
I'm at wit's end. Help of any kind is appreciated. |
