I tried pairing my iphone to my 06 750 Li and it requested a Pin to pair. I bought the car used so it must have an original pin established. Usually when you pair most bluetooth devices, when you discover the device, any code will work. Does anyone know of how maybe I can reset it, or know if there is a master pin? I'd hate to take it to the dealer and leave it all day for something I could do on my own.
Inside the boot/trunk, on the left side behind the DVD player, there is a box that sits at a 45 degree angle. Right above that box, there is a box that is shaped like a VHS tape. Unscrew that box and on the other side you will see bluetooth PK: and your four digit number.

I stepped in a plate of Pasta the other day - now I have to worry about my Carbonara footprint!
Most of my knowledge comes from answering questions with possible solutions and as we work through the problem bit by bit and come to the solution I learn the cure and all the possible cures along the way, then just store it in my head, also I read nearly every topic posted and gain knowledge from them for future reference.
Have a good Christmas brettski.

Cheers Marti, I hope that you aren't suffering too much with the cold weather you are having. Have a great Christmas and New Year. Speak with you soon.
I never had to use a master PIN to pair my iPhone using iDrive in my Mom's '08 535xi. I just entered my own PIN on my phone and then re-entered it when iDrive asked me for the PIN. The iDrive in an '08 shouldn't be much different than the iDrive in an '06.
I had the same problem with my 2006 750Li and the Dealer was able to pull the code with no problem. No charge. Mine was a Nokia 6085 phone and was not on the approved list of BMW phones but it worked just fine.

Just thought I would say a big thank you for this thread. I have just brought a 2007 (56) 730d without the Bluetooth code. The box wasn't quite in the same place as mentioned above, it’s to the right and above the Sat Nav DVD player. No need to remove the DVD player, there is one of those press-stud type fasteners holding the boot lining panel in place about the same level as the DVD player but further into the boot. Take that out, release the liner from the boot seal, pull the liner forward slightly and the VHS size box is there in plain sight. Simple!!
