big trouble help please

my i drive went dead today wen i got in it and i could here the cd changer making a noise like it was changing cds an i checked the round thing in the fuse box cover in the glove box and about a week ago the red light was flashing now theres no light at all now i remember sum 1 writing if theres no lite u got a big problam i had my gear selector replaced the other day is this to blame or is it a totaly difrent problam i not sure what to do please help asap please

took battery off for a hour bak to normal now what could this be do u think its serious thnks for quik reply

The battery off for a while may have caused it to reset (kinda like a reboot). So there's a good chance there's nothing seriously wrong with it.

It sounds like it went into some kinda "safe mode" when they replaced the gear shift you should have brought it back immedantly to them as they cause the issue But disconnecting the Battery reset it Maybe just call them or go down there and have them make a note of it on your work order Just in case
