Does anyone have a step by step for installing a new Auxiliary Water pump on a '93 740 il? I have taken the little cover off and that is it. New A.W.P. is coming tomorrow and my ride is out of commission. The "in flow” nipple has completely broken off. After feeling around in the hole I found a very small cap like it came off of a small tube of rubber cement. (A little smaller than a pencil eraser). I don't think it belonged there and could have led to the water being blocked and the pressure led to the nipple failure.... just a guess though.
Ordered my repair manual $79, both valve cover gasket kits $36 and free shipping. Next weekend I'll have another project, along w/ small glass of whiskey!!!

UHHH...nevermind....a 5th grader could have changed it out. I thought this would be a big deal. It took 1/2 hour and a small glass of whiskey.
