Need help! I just replaced my alternator and my battery light came back on within one day. I still need to check for loose wiring or ground and possible bad alternator, but am I missing anything else? I have checked 5 amp fuses, etc and all is good. Thanks for the help.

When you re-checked your work and everything is in order; whoever you got the alternator from may have passed you a bad one.

operation of alternator/Battery light is dependent solely on the alternator. It comes on if it doesn't sense amperes flowing through.

Yes i agree and thats what sucks but i gotta get the beast back on the road.

Well, i had another alternator put into my BMW and so far the light has not come back on. I first had a "High Test" alternator that only cost me $200 and that went bad in 1 day. I now have a Bosch Alternator that cost me $316. Anyway, I just thought i would let everyone know that go with Bosch.
