i bought a after market stero and the adaptor plug, everything works but no sound it looks like the factory amp will not turn on, but it work find with the stock stero does anybody had this problem before?

Factory amp has din, not rca. Not compatible neccesarily. Was told I needed to replace amp which I did. Now I have a problem with the radio itself.

Maybe you screwed up the radio?Find a keyed on off and a constant .depending
where the amp is you might be able to use existing speaker wires.use your head

Im actually in the process of sorting my sounds out in a 1987 e32 735i. Im wondering if a new headunit is going to work with the original amp, or even maybe fry it! So from your experience, aftermarket headunits dont work with bmw custom amps...?
