Does anyone know if I can put 18 x 8.5 wheels and tires on my 95 740i without having to modify anything? The stock wheels are 16 x 8's. I know a 17 x 8 will fit fine, but would really like to go with the 18.
I put in some 18 x 9.0's on my 93 740i, and my buddy just got some rims the same size as mine on his 95 740i. So they do fit, but just make sure the tires have the same overall diameter as stock so you don't have to mess with the computer.

I've got a 1994 730 with 18's 275 35 18's on the rear and 235 40 18's on the front.
