not familiar w/ this car. would like to know pros and cons on this car. is this car a good model year or has this year been prone to problems? thanks.

Tons of problems with the nikasil blocks that came in the V8s. I could go further, but bottom line is that it's a dodgy model overall.

How do you know what yrs were affected and what were the problems?

1994-1995 V8s I believe. Go to koalamotorsport.com and check the V8 problem writeup. This is Bret Anderson's site and he is a BMW expert and contributor to the ROUNDEL.
