I have searhced the forum and not found this question addressed. If it has been discussed and I missed the thread, I apologize.
I have a 1994 704iL with ~150,000 miles. This past weekend, a part on the front fender/air dam broke and is dragging and brushing the front driver's side tire. I have not been able to find a name for the part, so I will describe it as best as I can.
It is on the front side of the wheel well. It appears to be a boxy tube that feeds air from the bumber/fender/air dam back into the wheel well. It has snapped free and is hanging inside the wheel well, attached by two bolts.
First, what is this part?
Second, what does it do?
Third, should I replace it or can I just unbolt the proken portion and not replace it?
Thanks for any and all help,
Billy Ray
