Hi, new to this forum, very experienced mechanic, 750il with dual processors, appears one of them is inop, no spark from one coil, will attempt to run but on half the engine so to speak. Is this common, i know the old 5's were rough on ecm's but 7's too? and also, what the H**l is EML? electronic throttle?
Just got to this board. I have a 1988 750 and it went limp and turned out to be a bad MAF, I flip/flopped the MAF and the fault followed the bad MAF. Do you have any other prompts, EML/Trans Program/ ABS, as low voltage (alternator or battery will fault these beasts in a heartbeat).
