850i's LHD Japan are they different then US ?

Good day I am trying to see what are the differences of the ones sold in Japan that are LHD and the US version. I am stationed in Guam and shipping is only around 1600USD to get a vehicle there. The older 1990 to 1994 8 series are super cheap and in great shape in japan and really poor sellers due to the age, miles per gallon and taxes especially for the engine size. Plus being LHD people there just don't have any interest in them.

For importing to the US are there any major differences such as them being DOT approved, (glass, safety, emissions)??

If anyone know's that would be great.

I dont know about the import side, but the Jap version will either be the same as the US or Europe there wasnt a special one done for japan.

It depends if it was imported to Japan from US or Europe
although there maybe some japanese writing on the radio etc

That's good to know, well the radios there just go up to 89.9 so you have to switch them out or put in a converter. The righting is still in English.


Now to just find the perfect one
