this means your transmission has gone into fail-safe mode. the code will either read "output speed sensor circuit" or "pulse generator".

Basically, the output speed of your transmission wasnt matching what the computer said it should be, therefore it goes into fail safe mode to prevent damage of your transmission.

This could be due to clutch slippage, bad torque converter, a bad sensor, or a few other things. Regardless it wont be a fun fix.

Have you taken it anywhere to get it checked out yet?

I would drain the Transmission Fluid and drop the Transmission Pan to have a look for any signs of damage. Be prepared to change the filter, fluid and gasket. Keep in mind that the trans pan bolts are torx type that should be replaced.
