740 Tune up?

Curious, is it possible to self tune a 95 740 il? It looks as If i could do all the essentials like oil, plugs, wires, etc. is there something I should be aware of prior to attempting it?

Basic self service is fine for fluids levels, pads etc... anything more and I'd leave it up to the specialists.

Keep the service history at a BMW garage though, maintenance is no substitute for regular servicing.

Plugs, wires, filters etc. are all basic staples of do it your self. As for diagnostics of the systems...well, i would have to take her in for that. I guess my concern is that I couldnt do these basic things due to the amount of computer control over the mechanicals in these cars. So far it seems that I can preform all the basic functions without problems.

Does Bentley make a manual for the E38 yet? I was unble to locate anything for model years 95-99 on their site.
