| Hi guys, I am posting in regaurds to my fathers car, it is a 92 735i. I drive the car occasionally and it is a beautiful car in ship shape. The automoatic transmission on the car went in January of 2004, and now (february 2005, after warranty is expired), the car isnt shifting properly. It goes fine from 1st-2nd but when i goes to go into 3rd it slips and goes into 4th. Now we both agreeded that the transmission is screwed up, but the thing is that this only happens sometimes. One day he will drive to work and it works perfect, another day it wont shift and you can only go 60mph because it wont shift to proper gear. I am posting because i was wondering if this has happened to anyone and if there was a reason for this only happening sometimes (not warming up, winter, tranny filter, etc.) I look forward to responses, thanx
