I have a 97 740IL with a powershade that just stopped working today. It make no noise or attempt to move. I have checked the fuse, but I don't know what to do next.
Your local dealer would definatley have the part. But since everybody thnks the dealerships are "stealerships" then somebody else would have a better understanding of where to find what you're looking for.

check out www.e38.org......good write up, something about a section of the worm gear that wears out; you need to re-adjust the worm gear to an area that is not striped to get your shade to work again.
