Hi!! I saw a 745Li today. That car was a beauty. By "I saw," I mean i sat in it and everything. My dad knew the person who's car it was. So my questoin is, what is the difference between Li's and simple i's?
For example there is a 745i and a 745Li. Then there's the 760i and the 760Li. What are the differences between the Li's and the i's?
By the way, the 745Li is an awesome car. Man, I went crazy after that car after I actually saw it up close in person and sat in it. I had always liked it but once I sat in it, oh man.
Oh and by the way, today, I saw an M5 too for the first time. That car looked SWEET!! Just like the 745Li. I was in my cousin's car (3.2 TL Type S, 2002) and we followed the M5 for some time. That thing looked nice. He turned right and I could hear the engine. I mean, it was just awesome.

About six inches in overall length and 4 inches of additional rear seat leg room. also, the Li or currently il have load adjusting rear shocks/struts and my 1988 750il has electronically controlled lower rear seat cushions (they move fore and aft).
I have another question. For example, if someone orders a 745Li, will BMW put a supercharger in it if requested by the customer? A factory installed one?
What? Never heard of supercharging a 7-series...but if you want to do that...you might as well get the 760Li....pleanty of power from the V12...let me tell you from personal experience.
Hi!! How are you? BMWLotAttendant, I'm not gettin a 7-series. I'm going to try to have my dad/mom buy one in the future (1 year or so). The 760i/760Li are V12's (as you said) but they drink gas like crazy. The V8 is still acceptable but it's got only 325hp for such a big car. Don't you think it's a little less? Do you think it would be a good idea to get it supercharged and increase the power to around 400hp-420hp?

I do not believ BMW supercharges, but it does certify DINAN (work out of many dealserships) to do performance work. I have never seen a supercharged V-12, many 3 series and a few turbo 3.5 liters.

I'm fine thank you very much. I'm 19 if that's what you asked. lol.
Like I said, I'm not sure about supercharging any BMW besides what Dinan does....and I know they do an excellent job tunning BMWs. But I can ask a tech to see what they say about it. I didn't think that the 760s were considered gas guzzlers....but maybe i'm mistaken...I thought of all BMWs the X3s/X5s...were up there...anyway. A little less?!?...what do you want out of this car? Performance...you can get a sports car ummm perhaphs an M3 with 333hp...or the M5 5.0 liter. The new M5s which will be released to the USA next fall....should make you grin with power and luxury. Seems to me...since your parents are considereing Luxury vehicles...the 7-Series is a worthy choice...but if you're looking for speed/hp...why are you considering a luxury sedan?
Well we want a luxury sedan (we're not getting one right now). But I want some more hp in it too. HEHE!! I think once we get ours (God willingly), we'll get it supercharged from DINAN. HEHE!!
I agree with LotAttendant,
Besides, the cylinder temps get really radical by turbo-charging. Other models squirt oil directly on the piston/skirts to get rid of the heat. You might end up burning holes in the pistons or burning valves by turbo-charging an engine not designed to be turbo-charged. 300+hp even in a sedan with proper transmission/ring-pinion gearing will give massive acceleration. (Laughingly) just get a 528 cubic inch chrysler crate hemi and wedge it into the bmw of your choice. Run it on a gasoline/nitro-methane mix. It'll be incredible for two or three miles before it requires an engine rebuild. Yeah, go to the v-12.
