2002 X5 alarm problem

My car alarm has started coming on for no reason, it's up to a couple of times a day, usually a few minutes after I've gotten out of the car. Has anyone had this problem before? It used to do this really rarely, now it's happening a lot.

Are you parking the X5 next to anything that moves(i.e. tree limbs, pedestrian traffic)? The motion sensor can sometimes be a little sensitive. The siren has it's own power source, it might be getting weak. It is recharged by the car battery. On the passenger side under the hood, there is an alarm button, pull the plug and reseat the connector. I hope this helps.
