well im thinking about one of theese cars as my first car but im not to sure which one is better on maintenance thats the thing thats scarring me to get one of theese cuz i dont wanna get dinged my a bunch of problems?
Be really really cautious about the the first two years of the E65, it had a painful amount of electronics issues which many people just couldn't resolve. All cars need maintenance, but if you can do the basic stuff yourself, its not too bad.
The E38s were a really solid platform if you can stand going back to the previous model 7 series, otherwise you'll have to look at a 2005+ E65 model. I don't know that the 5 series had the same degree of electrical issues because they weren't as heavily loaded with electonics as the 7 series.
