2001 740IL Audio/Navi Unit

On my 740IL, i have the cassette and radio buttons on the left side and the navigation on the right side - I am thinking of changing this to an in-dash DVD/MP3/NAVI player. Is this possible? I haven't really asked shops around my area for this..just throwing it around to see if others have changed theirs to an aftermarket one..

I suppose it can be done, although you don't really want to lose the OBC monitor as this is all part of the CAN BUS system and would be very difficult to bypass, most people use an mp3/ipod adaptor and have the dvd player in the boot/trunk.

Thanks for the info. Where do I play the DVD? on the OBC where the GPS is?

Yes the dvd would play on the OBC screen via the AV option or you can also fit screens in the rear headrests.

I am presuming you already have TV ?

Yes, I already have a pioneed in-dash dvd/mp3 player from my other car that I sold.

I kinda wanted to just use the in-dash dvd/mp3 player to play DVD and GPS - but oh well. Thanks for the help!
