I purchased a hit salvage 740i, and the car has been fixed and is complete but will not start, does the computer need some type of code or reprogramming or is this probably a mechanical error?
More than likely it is a software error. The computer system for ignition is notorious in the e38's....have a bmw tech look at it, worth it $$$ wise, plus they'll find out exactly what the problem is within a few minutes (hopefully)
