2000 740il Purchase And Maintaince

Hi,

I am getting my 2000 740IL (58.5K miles) at $22,500. The car is a oneowner, always dealer maintained. Battery, Radiator, Tyres are all just six months old.
Is it a good price? I have never own a BMW. Is there any particular areas I should
be waching in order to maintain the car well and to have a long time reliable vehicle? Any valuable input is greatly appreciated.

thats exactly what i just bought with same mileage and price, but i only got that price because it was at a dealer auction.

actual selling price in my area for this car in good condition is around $30k.

if you are buying it at that price from a dealer, then i would pay the $95 and have it inspected at a BMW dealership, and also get a carfax. that is an extremely low price.

Maintenance is expensive for the 7 series, mine takes almost 8 quarts of oil, but it is relatively reliable compared to the ford crown vics and lincoln towncars
