The car was possibly turned off with the wipers in the up possition and the battery went dead in the interm (not from wipers). After starting car again the wipers will not reset down when they are turned off. They continue to end up when turned off. Do I have to go to BMW or someone with their body control computer diagnostics interface? Is there an alternitive? Manually changing the wiper transmission position?
Thanks, Dave
I turner the car off with the wipers in the down most position and then dissconnected the battery. When I restarted the car it stayed down until using the wiper again and would again end in the up possition. One mechanic said the car needs to be reset through the body control computer. Any other thoughts?
Dave
try after disconnecting the batt click the hazards into the on postion to make sur all power it drained from the system mine stay up if you turn the car off with the wipers in the on position make sure they are off when you turn the car off
++++++++Replacing the wiper motor cured the problem++++++
