Visiting from the E46 side.
My brother is looking for a car and im trying to convince him to look beyond the Land Rover Discovery foolishness he wants and get into this cherry 1998 Bronze 740il at my local BMW dealer. Im wondering if its a decent deal. There is no such thing as a real "steal"on cars in my part of the country (central kansas) but this is the best 7 Series deal I have seen in along time.

Pretty much the base package. I think it has comfort seats,Projector headlights, DSP, and everything else that was standard on the car in that year, including a power moonroof.
The car is in absolutely SPECTACULAR condition with the tan interior. It was an older gentlemens car highway driven (I can sort of verify this because the cruise control buttons on the wheel have a bit of wear on them and them only) and him as the single owner. He purchased an 03 745 I believe.
Paint is excellent, interior is spotless,even the wood around the shifter, which is usually banged up pretty good looks like a mirror, really a beautiful car. Only thing wrong is a tear in the rear left window tint (which has turned a slight purple by now anyway), and squeaky brakes, which of course both of those would be addressed. It drives as solid and sure as my 32k 330i, if not MORE so.
They once had the car at about 25k and couldnt move it, so it has been dropped to 19,990 before they send it to auction. (they dont keep cars very long at all)
