Smile 1998 740iL Creaking Noise

I'm hearing a creaking noise ( Like an old wooden rocking chair ) coming from the back of the car on both sides, it only happens only when driving slow. I don't think it's the shock absorber because when I hit a road bump it doesn't make the creaking noise. I have a feeling that the coil spring could be doin it.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks

With the engine off, and someone making the rear of the car move, (standing in the trunk and bouncing the rear) do you hear the noise?

Have someone bounce the rear when your under the car. The are a lot of components in the rear suspension which could be getting close to being worn out, I'd suspect that its possibly one of the rubber bushes or ball joints.

Garage
The parking brake cable splits from the middle, doesn't it?
So why not check the other side?
