1995 E38 No current (electricity) going to Fuel Pump

I have checked both Fuel pump fuses, # 17 in engine compartment, and # 57 in the trunk. Also changed the relay in the trunk. Is there any other relays that
I need to check? I took off connector to the pump, and tested with my meter while cranking engine but got no electricity. I got when I tested the smaller wires which I thing is for the fuel gauge but not on the bigger wires.

You will only get power to the pump while cranking the engine, which you have tried, that leads to one thing the crankshaft sensor is possibly dead, its located in the bell housing of the gearbox left-hand side normally (looking from the rear). If the crankshaft sensor dies the car will come to a stop and wont restart due to no power going to the pump.

Thanks for the info, as I even replaced the main relay, but still no progress. How can you tell when the crankshaft sensor is dead?

When its dead normally no fuel ...so wont start. Do you have a spark?, when you say youve changed the relay, you mean the one in the boot? on mine This is found on the RHS of the boot right up against the wing in a carrier with fuses and three relays. The fuel pump relay is the light-coloured one in the middle. While you are at it, check Fuse 57 which is in the same carrier as this serves the pump....

I replaced both, in the trunk and the main relay in the engine compartment. Both 17 and 57 fuses are fine. Also, I found the Crankshaft position sensor on my car is at the front of the engine below the MAF meter, and below the Camshaft sensor. Had to order the part, so I'll let you know when I get it replaced.

You are correct with the location of the crankshaft sensor being in the timing housing, sorry I was thinking of the M62 engine and not the M60.

I replaced the crankshaft position sensor and it started right up. Thanks for your suggestion.
