1993 740i door lock troubles

i always lock and unlock my car from outside the drivers-side door. All the doors lock properly but when i try to unlock them, all but the driver's-side door unlocks. I have to open the rear driver's-side door and manually pull up the driver's-side door pin. Any ideas? Thanks

On my '99 750 it was a fractured support for the door lock solenoid that allowed the solenoid to sag and not actuate the door lock. I had to pull the inner door panel, align the support and weld it (kinda trcky as the metal wanted to melt versus weld, but I got here together and no more problems. today i found that my support was fractured and repaired it but the door lock still wont unlock properly. Any guesses

Might be the actuator, I had to take mine apart last year and give it a re-grease.

Mine does the same thing and i just havent had time to fix it yet a couple of more turns in the unlock direction while wiggling it should open it just fine. I will give you the fix shortly when i fix mine

Are we looking at an e32 here or an e38 ??

This will be the problem bit, I found this just to show you, so make sure you get one for the correct side as I dont know if they are handed or not.
