1989 735iL worth buying?

Greetings all!

I am a newbie to the forum/brand, please forgive if this sounds silly. I spotted an 89 735iL for sale with low miles (76K). The car appears to be mint with exception of a considerable ding in the door. Owner is asking $6K and Kelly Blue Book's most is $3,200. Is this car one of those hidden gems or not worth pursuing? I'm interested in opinions about reliability, price/availability of parts and general owner experiences with the 735i.

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

The E32 is an amazing car and was BMW's flagship luxury sedan back in the day. However, today they are NOT worth $6,000.

Do you have the ad?

Its easier to tell if its worth it if we can see some pictures.

They can be found for pretty cheap nowadays as they age. Finding ones in good shape is hard, but possible. I quite like the iL version because of the additonal leg room in the rear. I find that to be an excellent feature for people who ride in the car with me.

Lord Vader,

Thank you for your insights. There was no ad... the car was parked outside the owner's home in Brunswick, MD (rural community). I will probably let this one go.

Thanks again,

Aaron
