Do the evaportator cores become dirty in these cars after time ? Ive got some poor a/c performance and everything else looks and tests ok ....................i just dont want to tear it down to find it clean. Ever been inside before ? What did you find ? Thanks in advance.
Unless someone has had the system open for anything the inside of the system is clean. Poor performance might be due to high humidity and heat. Optimum performance is around 20* to 25* air temp difference from outside temp to inside temp. Just try cleaning the A/C oil that is infron of your radiator really good, and that should help.. This . if pressure checks and everything else is alright. Running the system on recirculating is better for your comfort, the A/C only has to recool the inside air instead of using hot outside air.

This system doesnt have a recirc function. Its manual heat.........Im concerned about there being dog hair or other dirt all over and blocking the evaporator core inside the car.............thanks for your reply. Peace.
FIXED IT ! the foam seal between the duct and the evaporator case was missing ! Most of the air, not all of it but most of it was escaping under the dash. Im sure when its all back together it will be wundagbah !

Glad it was something simple, maybe I need to check mine, never thought about the seals between components.
