1981 633csi Turbo Help

I purchased a 1981 633csi as a track car for next year. When i purchased it, the seller informed me that if i'd like to go turbo, which i will, i dont need to tune the ecu..?!

question: do i need to tune the ecu? or is it just the MassAirSensor? or am i getting everything wrong here?

standalone?

goal is to have 200-300hp.

thanks in advance guys

shaddy

iirc there is a 7 series that uses the same motor with a stock turbo. If you are using that, you'd simply need to use the ECU from that 7 series that came with the stock turbo.
